This was my own cross-stitch and I decided I wanted to frame it in an antique door that I had found in my husband’s furniture restoration workshop. The door was in very poor condition with burn marks and pieces of moulding missing but I recognized that the aperture in the door was the right size for the cross stitch. Ian restored the door beautifully, fitted hinges and escutcheon with lock and key. I then stretched the cross stitch, framed it with a double mount and glazed it with Tru Vue70 anti reflective glass for clarity and UV protection. A great way to combine our different talents in one piece that hangs on the wall at home.
